We are a Group of companies in the Construction sector. The parent company is Panther 1919 Liimited t/a The Wooldridge Group of Companies. We have our head office in the United Kingdom. The Group has 300 employees and operate in the United Kingdom
The Group has an annual turnover of £40m
Our business
Our business is organised into various companies as below:
- WOOLDRIDGE CONTRACTORS LIMITED – Groundworkers
- WOOLDRIDGE ECOTEC LIMITED – Demolition and haulage
- WOOLDRIDGE PLANT LIMITED – Provider of machines and sweepers to the Group.
- WOOLDRIDGE DEVELOPMENTS – House builders and land buyers

Our policies on slavery and human trafficking
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we pay decent wages and monitor our staff to ensure their wellbeing. Our Manager’s are given online training and encouraged to report any suspicious behaviour that may relate to Modern Slavery.
We are committed to:
- Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
- Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- Protect whistle blowers.
Supplier adherence to our values
We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values we have in place a supply chain compliance programme. This consists of: a questionnaire sent out annually to all suppliers. Our buying department monitors the responses.
Training
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff.
Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking
We make sure that all our staff are paid above minimum wage and at a rate that is the appropriate for the role they are undertaking. We check all right to work documents and offer help for any problems our staff may have. Our managers take, very seriously, the wellbeing of their staff. We look out for any signs of Modern Slavery and would take prompt action if there was the slightest evidence of any sign of abuse of any type.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Group’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending April 2021. It was approved by the board on 2nd September 2021 .
